I was so disappointed that I couldn't attend my quilting class yesterday. My fabric still hasn't arrived yet. The next one is in July so I'll have to wait until then.
In the meantime it's nearly time for my babies birthdays. My little sweetness is having a party so I whipped these up using a House of 3 kit. They were so easy and the girls loved them.
Now I want to make rings for the loot bags - I just have to hope they arrive in time.
We've got a holiday tomorrow so I'm cooking up a spiced pumpkin & lentil soup for dinner. It's certainly cold enough for it. It's from one of my new Bill Granger cookbooks. Love him. Love his recipes.
And this little man has been my lap buddy most days. I don't know how he manages to fit on there as he is quite a bit bigger than my lap. But he does. And I don't mind - it keeps me warm too.
Well that's it from me. Need to have a hot shower and get into some warm jammies. It's super chilly,

Nearly a whole month...
without blogging. Oops. Everytime I went to to do it, I'd get distracted by other stuff.
Anyway.....
I haven't scrapped much. Just made a couple of cards as a gift for my nan.Using my most favourite butterfly stamp from Studio Calico.
I've also been busy in the kitchen with my thermomix.
I have made some yummy stuff.
One night I made roasted vegetable soup & portugese rolls. I didn't even start cooking until after I got home from school. It was so quick.
And on the weekend I made pizza from scratch, even my own sauce - which was pretty delicious.
Tonights dinner was lasagne. The bechamel sauce only took 12 minutes and was as smooth as silk and I didn't even have to stir it. It was fantastic.
I love my thermomix.
I'm still getting over being sick. Back to the docs on Monday. Hopefully it'll be all good. Had a CT scan last week - so I'm waiting on those results.
And that's it for me.
Have a happy week.

Some goodies
I got another delivery today.
Some white cards to start on my Christmas cards. And some SC stamps & Hero Arts stamps. And the glimmer mist I got was Granite.
Then I got some House of 3 goodies -
I really want to get organised and get all my cards done before December. I'm also thinking about making gifts.
Anyway - have a happy weekend,
ETA:
I put the outside of the album together this afternoon. Used granite on the top half and turquoise on the bottom.

I couldn't wait
So I cracked into the kit last night while I stayed up for the Studio Calico kit release. I couldn't help myself. Had a bit of an injury with the cropodile and my hand. But it's all good.
Managed to order everything I wanted from SC this month. Still waiting on Back 40 to arrive. Hope it gets here this week.

Mistified
What an amazing day I had. Wendy and Heidi are just fabulous.
After a very early start, and a bypass to the airport (accidentally), I arrived in time.
First up was this class by Wendy Senger, where we completed a binder full of Glimmer Mist techniques. This one was my favourite.

Then it was Heidi's Fastenation Folder class, where we got to play with her new products.
And we ended the day, with making the Spring junque album from House of 3.
It was so pretty. Loved it
And the kits were packed with goodies.
We got all of these bottles of glimmer mist. Yum. Yum. Yum.

And check this out......
Chalkboard glimmer mist, Glimmer Glam & Glimmer Glaze!!!
So very fabulous!

I think my favourite is the chalkboard glimmer mist. It is so beautiful.
I had such a great day. (Even if I couldn't find my car in the dark when I left!!)
Oh, and Happy Mums Day to all the mothers tomorrow!!!

Rainy days
It has been raining for the past couple of days. It's so welcome after the hot days that we've had. It's a bit late, but I made a few candles......and this was my favourite one using this kit by Jen Allyson. So cute.
We had a nice Christmas. That was, until hubby got sick and was puking until 4 am boxing day. I think it was the yucky flu that has been going around.
I didn't take many photos at Christmas as I normally do, as I was mostly in the kitchen.
Been running around to a heap of different shops trying to find the right cable for our tv. We (I mean the kids) got RockBand for Chrissy and I've hooked up the PS3 in the lounge to the better sound system. Can't wait to play it tonight. I'm picking up the drums pretty quickly. It's so addictive!!
I've place a couple of orders of scrappy stuff....so hopefully it will get me scrapping again. Can't wait for it all to get here.
Anyway - hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year,
Love K xxxx

Getting Crafty
Have been making a couple of things here and there.
I tried a couple of candles - except I ran out of ink.
And I made a printer tray for us to hang on the wall. (as well as one for my mum - but it isn't finished).
Have made a couple of layouts but they aren't finished yet either.
Only 9 sleeps to go.....
