Pants for the birthday girl

It's my littlest's birthday on Monday. And apart from the usual birthday list, she requested some mummy made pants - long & short to wear to bed. Who am I to deny her that - even if it was out of my all time favourite fabric that I've been hoarding since I bought it. Saving it for just the right project.
A really long pair.
And some short ones.

Hope she likes them.

Pants

On Sunday - in an effort to wipe out my WIP's, I grabbed two large bits of fabric (that were earmarked for skirts) and started cutting out pants.
Then I got sidetracked with the million other things needing to be done. So that was that.
But today I had some time - so I sewed them up. I even got to play with my overlocker for the first time since buying it.
I even got them done in time to bake a hummingbird cake before school pick up.

Now I can't wait to have a warm shower and get in my new super comfy jammie pants and curl up to watch My Kitchen Rules.
What are you doing tonight?

Bungle Jungle pants

Today I stopped procrastinating and finally made the pants. They were so quick I don't know why I didn't just do them last week. I used Bungle Jungle. This was my favourite paper line from Sassafras so I was super happy to see it in fabric. I don't know which side I like more.
I think they are both pretty cute.
These are for my Great nephews birthday on Sunday. I am going to try and make him a lunch box too if I get time. You know, amongst the million other things I'm trying to do this week. Well, at least that is another thing off the list ;o)

Hope your day is a productive one too

Reversible Poofy pants

Today was the day to get them done. I've had the pieces cut for a few weeks now. I bought the pattern here.
I think these ones are my favourite.
They have green stars on the inside.
Then these ones are flanelette. Snuggly & warm.
With cute buttons on the inside (which I cut upside down. Sshh)
And little happy bear ones.
With more happy bears on the inside.
Now I can happily start on the next thing and strike these off the to do list. 1 down, 50 million to go.

Two

I was finally starting to feel better yesterday, so along with a little housework I decided it was time to make the kids pants.
They were such a quick and enjoyable sew. I'm thinking that I just might be able to crank out some short ones from the fabric I have left from both of them. I hope so.
They wore them to bed last night. So cute.

Off to make some more hot tea. It is super chilly!!
Have a Happy Sunday xxx

Scientific Seamstress Easy Fit Pants

I've been sick for the past week but needed a little sewing pick me up. Something that I could complete in a couple of hours with not alot of fuss. Scientific Seamstress Easy Fit Pants was it!
I pick up the flannelette last week from Spotlight. I whipped it up in a couple of hours. Doing a little bit here & there. Finished them at 5:05pm and realised my elastic was too wide. Did a quick dash to Spotlight and made it with 5 minutes to find what I needed.
Luckily I found some and got them finished.
I have never made clothes before - except for in high school I made a t-shirt, overalls and a lingerie set.
Now I really want to to make a dress.
That is of course after I finish everyone elses jammie pants - which I know I won't be up to today.
I bought the pattern here. Instant download - now that is my kind of shopping!
