Paper goodies

My Simon Says Stamp order arrived today. I was so happy to see it. I was waiting on it to make my Christmas cards - and I usually have them sent on the 1st of December. Need to get started!
In the box was this kit that I ordered. I just loved the reindeer stamp!
Hope to get some time over the weekend to get them done.

Are you making yours this year?

Getting things done

Getting presents wrapped today. Some of them anyway. I made a little envelope to stash some cash for my boy. And who can you see in the background?

My sweet little Miss. She's trying to keep cool. So hot here today. So glad we got our outdoor area finished yesterday.
We picked up our new table. It seats 10 so now I don't have to worry about where everyone is going to fit on Christmas day.
Then yesterday we planted a few flowers and covered everywhere with chip bark.

It feels so much nicer out there.

And we covered it all with a tarp. So rain, hail or shine - we can have Christmas outside. (We had to fence off my vege patch as the lady from down the road neglects her chicken so it came and destroyed my veges twice. Not again Chicken!)
The only thing left to do is to put up the fairy lights. We'll do that this weekend.
I am so excited to put the Christmas tree up tomorrow. I can't wait!
Bring on December!!

December Daily

What a great mail day. My December Daily kit finally arrived.
I am so excited. I don't know where to start.
But you know what I'll be doing this weekend, right?!
Cannot wait to play!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend,

Fa la la la la

Still in the Christmas spirit over here!!
Gathering any bits and pieces I think I want to use in my December Daily. (Lots of bits from last years DD) If I gather any more though, I won't be able to fit my kit stuff in there - lol!
Super excited for it to come. It's been a while since I played with paper. Not even sure if I have any adhesive anymore. Maybe I ought to check that.

The only other thing I've bought - that I couldn't resist was Heidi's Colour Shine Mist. I've got a thing about gold at the moment. Loving it!
I have also decided to use Ali's templates. I've printed and cut them out and I'm ready to go!
I want to do a pic on one side and use these cards for the journalling and embellishments.

Cannot wait to get started.

I've got a morning to relax - so I'm kicking back with some Sons of Anarchy, a coffee and some banana bread. It's all drizzly outside. I'm a happy chicky.
Hope you are having a great day too ;o)

Christmas Fever

Yesterday I was just finishing off a bottle of Kirks softdrink when I noticed a promo on the label. It was enter 5 codes from 5 bottles to get a pair of boardies or budgie smugglers. I ran into the butlers kitchen where I had stashed a whole heap of softdrinks for Christmas when I received my groceries that morning. Luckily I had enough with the labels. So I jumped online and entered the codes. The only catch was that you had to pay for postage. $4.99. Fair enough. So I did. And it'll  be a perfect gift for my son for Christmas. That is if we get them in time. And I'm so stoked.
Not bad for $4.99 huh!
And in crafty news, I can't wait to get my  December Daily album kit - which should be arriving by the end of the month. Hopefully!!
This is the contents of it

How fun does it all look?!
I love Christmas and I love crafting. So this is my heaven!
I do a December album every year. Even if I don't scrap all year - you will always find me doing this in December. I am totally nuts about Christmas.
Don't know what I'll do with the snowflake stuff though ;o)
Still no sewing and that's ok. It'll happen. If it comes down to it. I only really need to make my dress, hubby's bag and finish the placemats. Totally doable in the next month.

So what's making you happy today?

Scrapping?

So the minute that I need to start organising my stuff to get rid of - is the minute that I feel like scrapping again. Go figure.
Just trying to get through the little stack of pics that I have on my table.
Sorry about the iphone pics - my son has pinched my camera.
Had to stop scrapping as I've run out of adhesive.
Will try and sort all the goodies out this week. Need to get some boxes and find out shipping prices & weights & things. Fun stuff. Totally need a helper. Hope to get it done this coming week. So stay tuned.
Have a happy weekend. I need to seriously think about making these pants. Hmmm.
Maybe I should get out of my jammies first ;o)

The Slurpee Run

Can you believe it. I finally scrapped. Only 1 page. But it was fun to push some paper around again.
I used Studio Calico's Summer Camp kit. An oldie but a goodie. I am getting closer to using it all up. Wish I could say that for the rest of my scrap room.
Toady I'm waiting for my car to come back from the mechanics. Getting a towball fitted. The caravan dream is getting that little bit closer.
Have a fabulous weekend-

Market morning

Today I headed off to the Farmers Markets to get our fruit & veges for the week. As I was leaving I spotted some chickens for sale - but I know hubby wants to fix up the pen first, so I didn't come home with any.
I scrapped last night. I have alot to catch up on! Still haven't found my groove yet.
I used an old Studio Calico kit - Summer Camp.
I think I may go back to some sketches. I think I work better if I have a starting point. Or else I end up with boring, boring pages.
Have a happy weekend,

I scrapped

Are you as shocked as me?
I printed a stack of pics yesterday. Cleared a little space on my desk today - and just did it.
Not highly impressed with my efforts. But - a page is a page.
I grabbed one of my zillion kits to use. It was Summer Camp. There is some really cute papers in it. Can't wait to do a girl page.

Have a fabulous weekend. I might hang out in my scrap room a little longer.

Struggling

Struggling with things lately.......but some kind words from my best friend who knows me well, has turned things around. Feeling so lucky that I have someone who can do this for me.

Struggling to exercise.....but I am determined to do better.

Still struggling with that little quilt.....but I will finish it. All it takes is a new view from different eyes to see that I clearly make things harder for myself. And I really don't need to.

Struggling with the new school routine....need to learn to go to bed earlier, then perhaps my mornings would be easier.

And on the plus side:

Eating well. No cheating. Honestly not finding it as hard as I did last time.

Planning on scrapping today. It's been so long. Better print some photos and see what I come up with. If I start using up my stash - then I've got a good reason to get more. And there's nothing that makes me happier than scrap shopping ;o)

Have a Happy Thursday,

I changed it

So when I was looking for some ribbon, I found this Prima flower in my ribbon box. My mum loves flowers so I peeled off the butterflies and glued this baby down instead with a velvet leaf.
I also used the list paper from Kinseys nerd alert class as the pages for her to write her lists on or whatever.
I hope she likes it. I need to get rid of it before I start playing around with it more.
This is counting as my scrappy effort this week. I'm pining for my SC january kits - so no actual layout this week :o(
Anyway, have a great weekend

This week

My kids went back to school. It's weird that they are both at the same school again. My traveling time has been cut in half every day. Awesome.

The other day I went to walk outside and saw the cats at the door - then I noticed what they were watching. The big water dragon. He gives me the creeps. We have a ton of them here. Usually they sun themselves on the bench or cool down in the pool, but this guy decided he wanted to get real close.  Yuck! I'd prefer that he kept to himself.

I am still loving my coffee machine. Makes me happy. Every. Single. Day.
Have baked quite a few banana cakes. They are so quick and easy in my thermomix.
We've spent pretty much every afternoon in the pool or at the beach. It's starting to finally feel like summer here. Hooray!!
And I got my craft on tonight. Finishing a gift for my mum that was meant to be for christmas but I got sidetracked. I just need some suitable ribbon.
And I'm so bummed that my January SC kits haven't arrived yet. February's go on sale in a few hours. I already did my shopping tonight. I got a couple of mister hueys, some adhesive and another JBS ink.
I hope it comes tomorrow.
Hope you are having a wonderful week -
