I've finished one of my SC kits. One down & 13 to go. At least now I have a spare crop bag for Febs kit ;o)

Hoping to maybe get some more scrapping time tonight.

Sneaking in

Sneaking in before the end of the week. I did these during the week but only had time to upload now.
I'm still doing well with scrapping 1 layout a week ;o)

I don't think that I scrapped as many layouts in the whole of last year, than I have during these 2 weeks. And every page I've done has been using my Studio Calico kits. But I've still got plenty to go. 14 actually. Oops. And what makes it worse is that I've got whodunit sitting right here - calling me to play.

What's a girl to do??

Exceeding the quota

Yesterday, as I was scrapping my first layout - I realised that it was a big pain in the bum, to go out to get my papers from the other room. So I shifted them in here.

Now I have completed a total 7 layouts.

Go me!!

I've only stopped because I can't find my large photo paper. I have no idea where I put it when we moved.

Hopefully I can find it tonight - or I'll have to make a trip to the shop tomorrow.

Resolution

I made a resolution to scrap 1 layout a week. And here's my first layout of the year.

I found it really hard to scrap after not doing it in so long.

Now that I've managed one - there's no reason that I can't attack my pile up of SC kits. Really need to do something before the next lot arrives!!

Fav 5 from 2009

I'm sitting here tonight - thinking about this past year. If I could use one word to sum it up - it would be CHANGES.

We have moved from the home we lived in for 10 years. We changed a major part of our business. My first baby started high school. And we could possibly be in for another major change.......but I won't know about that until next week.

So looking back (scrapping wise) these are my favourite 5 scrappy things from this year. (There was not much to choose from - apparently I have not scrapped much this year, but my scrap shopping made up for it!!)

Rainy days

It has been raining for the past couple of days. It's so welcome after the hot days that we've had.
It's a bit late, but I made a few candles......and this was my favourite one using this kit by Jen Allyson. So cute.

We had a nice Christmas. That was, until hubby got sick and was puking until 4 am boxing day. I think it was the yucky flu that has been going around.

I didn't take many photos at Christmas as I normally do, as I was mostly in the kitchen.

Been running around to a heap of different shops trying to find the right cable for our tv. We (I mean the kids) got RockBand for Chrissy and I've hooked up the PS3 in the lounge to the better sound system. Can't wait to play it tonight. I'm picking up the drums pretty quickly. It's so addictive!!

I've place a couple of orders of scrappy stuff....so hopefully it will get me scrapping again. Can't wait for it all to get here.

Getting Crafty

Have been making a couple of things here and there.

I tried a couple of candles - except I ran out of ink.

And I made a printer tray for us to hang on the wall. (as well as one for my mum - but it isn't finished).

Have made a couple of layouts but they aren't finished yet either.

Only 9 sleeps to go.....

Almost forgot...

How silly am I? I almost completely forgot to post my lucky last card!!

This was from an idea a while back on the hero blog, where a lady had stamped a bauble on an acetate card and applied glitter to the back of the image. I didn't have a bauble stamp - so I thought I'd try different colours of glitter on Santa. I love how he turned out.

I started and completed my Christmas shopping today. Just got a few other things to get - but that can wait a little longer. It's a bit of a relief now that I've got the majority of it done. I am usually finished by July 31st. Not this year.

I'm really grateful that I wasn't out doing the shopping on Christmas Eve, although I really thought that was what it was coming to.

Only have a couple more days of kids at school, then a job on Sunday - then I can enjoy the holidays with the kids.

I just might get some scrapping time in there ;o)
