Working on
Today I am working on some little people pants, but I've come to a grinding halt. Need to run out for supplies.
I've got half of the pieces cut. So close yet so far.
I have another order for an iphone pouch - so I need to get that done in the next few days too.
Class starts on Monday so I want to have all the little things complete by then.
If both my parcels arrive - then this weekend I want to make this bag. I think it's so pretty. I've picked out some gorgeous fabric for it. So excited!!
Hope you have a happy & productive week,

Sweetwater goodies
Yesterday I got my Sweetwater goodies in the mail. I couldn't let them just sit there so I ripped them open this morning.
I didn't do such a good job of the pillow. At least it is cute. I might unpick it and see if I can get some wider twill tape.
Then my postie dropped off some more goodies this morning.
The fabric is so so cute. I can't wait to make these too. I bought them in both the dark & light colour choices. I couldn't decide which one I liked more - so I had to get both.
You can check out their etsy store here.

A little Sunday Sewing
I had been putting it off all week. Mum had requested an iphone pouch last Monday. Had a cold all week so didn't have the desire at all to sew. Spent most of it on the couch.
I woke this morning, knowing that she would be here at lunchtime. So I threw dinner into the slow cooker and finally started cutting the pieces at 11:00am.
I managed to have it done by the time lunch was ready.
A pretty good use of my scraps I reckon!
It looks crinkly and blurry because I had to snap pics quickly before she left. I didn't get to flatten it out.
In other news - I placed my order for all the bits and pieces I need for class. Woah!! My heart was racing a bit. I hope I made the right choices. I find that choosing fabric for clothes is much harder than a quilt.
I am really excited for class to start. And hoping that my huge, huge order arrives safely and quickly.
A few parcels haven't arrived this month - so I would hate for my big one to go missing. Arggh! I don't want to think about it.
Anyway - hope you are having a relaxing Sunday and have a fabulous week,

4 on Thursday
I succumbed to the cute charms of my pillow - and the softness sucked me right in too. Everytime I walk into my room - it makes me smile. And I had the best sleep of my life on it. Total winner!!
Had to get some supplies the other day...elastic, fabric......and hubby threw in an overlocker too. Haven't had a play yet. But hoping to start something tomorrow.
I can't keep putting it off as I have these cuties to play with. So. so sweet.
And lastly I signed up for the Fall Wardrobe Class. I am so so excited. Can't wait until class starts.
Have a happy day -

Body pillow complete
Four days later and I can't believe I finally finished. I think I lost my love for it after the 4th hour of quilting. Hopefully when I forget how long it took me, it may grow on me.
I only used the scraps that the lovely Brooke sent me - plus I bought the background and backing yardage.
And wouldn't you know it -I bought the wrong size pillow. But I wrestled it in there.
It's good to cross another one off my to do list.
What to do next.......a dress? Hmmm. I might ponder that for a little while. After this effort I think I next a break - or a really quick project.
Off to enjoy the rest of my Sunday - hope yours is happy too

Halfway there
I was straight at it this morning. Do you like my handsome fabric weight. So happy he stayed at his end of the batting.
After running out of thread and having to take a trip to get some more, I am only just finishing the quilting now at 9:30pm.
And here's my pretty quilting inspector. I think she's also testing it out for comfort!!
She says it's a winner (I can't get her off it)
So looks like it's another day working on it.

Slow slow progress
I tried so hard to get it done today.
I really wanted to have it on the bed tonight. But no.
Everyone wanted a piece of me today.
But cross your fingers for me that I'll get some time tomorrow.
Have a happy weekend

Using my Big Shot
The other day I ordered a new die for my Big Shot. Today I put it to use.
While I had a bit of time, I thought I'd do all the cutting for the pillow I'm making.
52 squares were a breeze with this little baby.
I usually put 6 to 8 pieces of fabric through at a time.
I had a nice little pile in no time!
The rest I had to do with my rotary cutter.
My plan is to do all the sewing tomorrow. Or maybe get a start on it tonight.
It is so cold and wet today, I felt like something warm for lunch. So I grabbed what I could find in my fridge and made pizza scrolls.
I only just got them out of the oven before - and I've already eaten 3. They were so so good. I had to step away from the kitchen otherwise there will be none left for anyone else.
Time for the school run.
Hopefully I'll be back with a sewing finish tomorrow.
Have a Happy Day,

Credit where credit is due - Fabric.com
So I went ahead and placed the order.
Then I started reading reviews online. And they were pretty horrifying. I started thinking the worst.
When my package hadn't shipped in the specified time, I thought oh no, here we go.
So I sent an email off and got a pretty quick reply. And my parcel shipped. No problems.
Then I waited and waited to see if would actually arrive and if there was going to be weird pieces in there.
Well it arrived. And nothing odd at all.
Everything I ordered arrived safe and sound. Nothing was mixed up or the wrong fabric. Probably could have been folded and packed nicer, but seriously - it isn't anything an iron can't fix.
I would more than happily order from them again. And I know that I will.
Their range is huge. Everything that I was looking for was there - and then some.
So, thank you Fabric.com - this customer is very satisfied.

Back to school
Today was back to school for the kids. And of course I didn't think about lunch stuff until late this afternoon. Better late than never, right?
Lucky I had a few things in the pantry. So I made some muesli bars - apricot & pecan
And a choc chip slice.
So now the lunchbox tub is full again.
Do you make things for your kids lunchboxes?
I'm looking for some savoury ideas. Any tried and true recipes you can link me up to, would be very much appreciated!!
Hope you are having a Happy Monday

Shape Workshop for Quilters & kitty treats
I have waited so patiently for this book to arrive. (Now I'm waiting on fabric to arrive to make one of the projects from it)
It hasn't disappointed. As I was turning the pages, I was nodding my head, adding more to my mental to do list.
Absolutely beautiful book.
In other news: We had to replace the cat tree as it was getting far too small for both my kitties to use and was causing arguments as they both wanted to be up high. So a quick search on ebay produced this.
It's nowhere near as sturdy as their last one but they are super happy with it.
I wasn't suprised that the little dangly mouse didn't last long. But she still has fun with the string.
Dash can almost jump from the ground to the top in one go.
They played with it so hard - they both passed out and slept for a couple of hours. It was definitely a good buy.
Off to watch the third Alien movie. Since seeing Prometheus the other night, we're rewatching the rest of them. I'm sick (again) and I can't think of anything better than curling up with my hubby on the couch and maybe getting an early night.
Hope you are having a happy week.
