Body Pillow (Christmas present)

I managed to finish off the body pillow cover. And I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Especially considering I used only scraps. That makes me feel good!
I based it on a pattern by Tula Pink from her book. All the bars on the front are scraps from my sons quilt.
For the background I used scraps of denim from a dress that I'm making.
And the back I pieced together scraps from his quilt and also some Amy Butler dots from his pocket pillow

I hope he likes it!

I scrapped

Are you as shocked as me?
I printed a stack of pics yesterday. Cleared a little space on my desk today - and just did it.
Not highly impressed with my efforts. But - a page is a page.
I grabbed one of my zillion kits to use. It was Summer Camp. There is some really cute papers in it. Can't wait to do a girl page.

Have a fabulous weekend. I might hang out in my scrap room a little longer.

Sidetracked

So much for catching up on things. I kind of got sidetracked by the birth of a friends first baby. So I found the perfect use of the pack of Basic Grey Olivia that I'd been hoarding. I made a mini book based on the MPS Mom mini book that Heidi designed. I used a shape from the silhouette store as a template. And here are the rest of the pages.

Now I really do need to catch up on MPS Mom and I am way way behind in KP's Sketchbook 3, so I need to catch up on that too!
Lucky I stocked up on ink yesterday! I am going to need it.

Have a Happy Thursday,

Delivery

It was like all my favourites in one box..

First up I bought the EK Success label punch. Have been eyeing it off for a while now.
And I thought I'd try out one of Tim's dies. This one is my favourite.
A little Doodlebug album - because who can resist the cuteness of Doodlebug. (Not me!!)
 Some yummy Hambly papers.
October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection pack & stamps. I love most of these papers so I thought I'd get the whole pack. I'm pretty sure I'll use it all.
Studio Calico Documentary. Gorgeous colours. (Can't wait to get Elementary)

Basic Grey. Mmmm. I'm kinda smitten with Oliver & Olivia. Just couldn't resist.
Some MME stickers.Love the colours and the font.
And last....but certainly not least, some American Crafts. I thought I'd try out their ink pads. I decided on white. I really need a white inkpad, and I'm hoping this is good.

Stocking up on some goodies for Kelly's class next month. Can't wait.

Anyway - have a happy weekend,

Some more cards

A couple of cards I made. Using mostly hero arts & ranger for the top 3, and some Making memories for the bottom.
I'm making a real effort to use the things that I just had to have - but have sat unopened in my drawer.
Hopefully I can make some sort of dent in my stash this week,

Fav 5 from 2009

I'm sitting here tonight - thinking about this past year. If I could use one word to sum it up - it would be CHANGES.
We have moved from the home we lived in for 10 years. We changed a major part of our business. My first baby started high school. And we could possibly be in for another major change.......but I won't know about that until next week.

So looking back (scrapping wise) these are my favourite 5 scrappy things from this year. (There was not much to choose from - apparently I have not scrapped much this year, but my scrap shopping made up for it!!)

Well anyway -

Have a Safe, Prosperous & Happy New Year!!!!

See you in 2010 ;o)

Don't they know to be careful

The postal service drives me nuts. The prices go up and the attention and care goes down. I just received an order from twopeas and this is what it looked like. I almost didn't want to open it.
Luckily I only ordered a little bit of stuff, and the papers that I did get were right underneath the crushed part.

So what did I get??
Some more christmas stamps and embellies. And some Nook & Pantry stamps. Cute!!

Some Nook & Pantry papers.

And some American Crafts Stamp Markers. Just in Christmas colours. I'm going to order the rest of the colours today. Cannot wait to play with them.
Does anyone know if you have to store them horizontally??

A card

The first thing I did with my kit was grab the stamp that I ordered and embossed it in clear powder over top of red, green, pearl & yellow maya mists. I then used broken china distress ink to cover it all, then I cut it out.
I hate the green tape - but it's a bit late now. Big oops!!
Hoping to get some time to play tomorrow. It's definately the right weather for it at the moment.
