The countdown is on...

Only 7 sleeps until my 30th birthday.

I have always hated that my birthday was so close to Christmas. When I was younger - all my friends would be away witheir families on their holidays. So it has always pretty much sucked.

Although I had a pretty unreal 21st.

This year I am not expecting anything at all. I have no plans. And hubby is working anyway. So I'll just be working and celebrating quietly.
My internet is just about dead - so if I don't get back in time....Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I hope that everything you dream of comes true in 2009

Well, it's all over for another year.

We had the best day.

On Christmas eve we had a seafood barbecue and watched Fred Claus, and then went to look at the lights. It was raining so we stayed in the car. Saw some great houses.
Then the kids woke up alot later than previous years. We got to sleep until 5:30am.
We unwrapped presents and went to my sisters house for breakfast.
Came home and I got everything ready for lunch. Mum came around. We had a really relaxing lunch, a few drinks, and some yummy desserts.
The kids had a fantastic time and loved their presents. There was no bickering or arguing. It really was the best Christmas that we have ever had.
Hope yours was fabulous too,

A bit sad as these are the final layouts for Design Your Life Class at BPS. I really looked forward to the weekends when I would print all the class notes out and start scrapping. It was my happy time and I loved every second of it. What to do now??
I really need to get my act together tomorrow. Got Christmas shopping to do and presents to wrap. So very disorganised. Doesn't help that there is still work stuff to do.
Anyway - enough grumbling - Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

What a day...

Have been so busy. Cleaned the house and went to the tip. Washed the cars. Bought and built a kickass barbecue. Took the kids for a swim. And I am so tired - I just want to curl up and go to sleep.
This was a corkboard I bought yesterday. I had this image in my head, when I saw the cute BG Urban Prairie papers. So I finally got my act together and made this last night. It is so cute. It's for my baby girl. I used Claudine Hellmuths Multi-medium to adhere and seal. It worked a treat. (I just wish it came in a huge bottle)
Now I just have to hang it.
Anyway - Have a fabulous weekend ;o)

DYL week 11

So here's my two new contributions to class. (Designed by CZ for DYL @ BPS)
I scanned the bottom layout but the scanner chopped off the top. I don't know what I did wrong.
Anyway - Have a happy Sunday.

I completely moved my little scrappy space around. Took me ages.

This is where I scrap. On my 12X12 glass mat. Everything always gets spread out around me, but I have this odd little quirk that I have to put everything back before I start something else.

This is the table directly behind me. (hoping that it gets upgraded to an Ikea Expedit shelf for Christmas - not likely!)

And this is to my left - trimmer and where I stamp and cut.

Up above me - my albums .

And a christmas gift to myself. I just love Amy Butlers fabrics.
Yummy. Yummy. Yummy
So it's not the best or biggest space in the world. But it's mine - and it makes me oh so happy!!

very late update

Designed by Cathy Zielske for DYL at BPS

Been scrapping tonight. All for class. And all 8.5 X 11. So very tired now.
Has been a really hot day today. We have had some huge storms this week. Would have thought that we'd have had one tonight - but no, still very hot.
Not much going on this week. Still waiting to get my MM Slice back. Can't wait. Loved that little machine.
We got some beds delivered for the kids. Had to pull apart their old beds. They were bunks. And the top level landed on my head. Not fun at all!!
Did the groceries today...and my perfect hubby stopped at the bookstore and got me the three sequels to Twilight. Cannot wait to get stuck into them tomorrow. Way too tired for them tonight.
Made some more christmas cards yesterday. Only a few more to go - and I will finally be done. Lucky I started way early this year.
Time seems to be moving really quickly towards Christmas - really must organise presents. The kids have almost finished school for the year, so I really ought to get cracking.
Well that is it for me - at this late hour.
See you later this week. Hope you have a relaxing Sunday tomorrow.
Hoping I do too ;o)

Another for class

(layout design by Cathy Zielske for DYL at BPS)
All caught up for class this week. It's a good feeling - since I am way behind in everything else ;o)
I have just finished reading 'Nineteen minutes' by Jodi Picoult. I have had Twilight sitting on the shelf waiting since the weekend for me to finish my other 2 books first- so now that I have, I am going to tackle it. Probably not tonight though as I am exhausted.
Looking forward to a nice sleep that ever happens!!

Friday night

(Layout design by Cathy Z for DYL at BPS)
Just sitting here watching Greys, and doing my layouts for class. We are now in week 7.
I took my little man to high school today. We spent an hour there. I have to take him every Friday for the next 2 weeks. It is so he can meet the teachers and get to know the layout of the school before he actually starts there next year. It was so weird going there as it used to be my high school. Not alot has changed.
It is so strange to think that I am going to have a high school kid. Growing up way too fast.
So I sent my slice back to Making Memories yesterday. Hopefully I get one back soon. It was so much fun. I absolutely loved the little thing!
Well, better get back to my show ;o)
Enjoy your weekend,

Saturday scrapping

(design by Cathy Zielske for Design Your Life @ Big Picture Scrapboooking)

Just watching Greys and doing my assignments for Week 6. Can't believe we are halfway through!!

I am so in love with the swiss dot bazzill!! So so cute.

And hopefully this week I will be getting my slice. Woohoo!!! I am super excited!!

What are you doing this weekend?

My week 5 assignments

So here's my week 5 assignments.

All designed by Cathy Zielske for DYL at BPS
Just because I am a total nut, I also signed up for Kim's Christmas Classes. I did them last year and absolutely loved them to bits - so I absolutely want to do them again.
Gotta run,
Have a happy Tuesday!!

Week Four Assigments

Ok - so these are my layouts for week 4. (Which was last week)

Design by Cathy Zielske for DYL class at BPS.
Other news -
I cancelled my order for Becky's Baby Kit. There were too many dramas in actually having them process the order, so I cancelled and ended up buying 2 albums and a stack load of baby papers and things instead.
Last night I found out I won a seat in "Cut the crazy out of Christmas" at BPS. So I have to add that workload to my list. A little ironic - a class call cut the crazy out, when added to my classes, is putting more crazy in!! Lucky I am a fast scrapper ;o)
I finished my layouts for the current week for DYL, last night. I'll post them tomorrow. And I am all ready for the new week.
Still waiting on the slice to come. Cannot wait to have a play with it.
And I think that's about it.

I'm Back

Finally got the internet back. Hooray!!
You don't realise how much you rely on something until you don't have it anymore.
Anyway just a quickie today. 2 layouts I did. For no particular reason. Just cause I felt like it.
I've got a bit on my scrapping plate at the moment.
I am doing Cathys DYL class (as you all know)
But I also signed up for a BPS writing class.
And SIS 30 days of Christmas class.
And I'm trying to do 2 baby albums. (Have only started on one)
Anyway - I'll be back.

Babies everywhere

My friend gave birth to a baby girl this morning....2 weeks late!!
So I made her this card. This stitching took ages - probably because I ran out of thread 3 times.
Been kicked down to dial up - so be back on November the 2nd when the new month kicks over.
See ya then ;o)

Happy Saturday

***(designed by Cathy Zielske for Design Your Life at***

So much has gone on this week - work wise. And it's been exhausting.

I stayed up last night and watched Greys and did a layout for class. I think I am a little obsessed with aqua. I've been reaching for it quite often.

Still waiting for my October Calico Kit. Still waiting for my Slice. And still waiting for my Baby Kit to be shipped.

I am not the most patient person in the world - but I guess it will give me time to organise my pics and stuff.

I moved my things around again. I pulled my bench table closer to my main desk so that it is kind of like a U shape. Which means I have everything at arms reach - which I love!!

Gotta go -

Have a fab Saturday. I intend on doing a bit more scrapping ;o)

Edited to ADD:
Here's my next layout for DYL Class. (design by Cathy Zielske for DYL at BPS)
Now onto the next one....

Just finished this one - my last layout for class this week and it's now just after midnight ;o)
I really like it ;o)

Goodnight xxx
