Crazy 48

It has been a crazy 48 hours here in the scrappy stuff household.
I broke my toe, then my radiator blew on the way home from dropping my DD at school, then last night at 11:40pm our work car died. So we've gone from 3 cars to one. Lucky I got mine back yesterday arvo so I could run out and pick up the hubby.
Tomorrow I'm doing mum's birthday lunch here. So I had to whip up a birthday card quick smart. I only had just enough adhesive to stick it together. I may have a ton of scrappy supplies - but I have nothing to put it together with!!

I was resting on the couch earlier and my fat man came and pounced on me, made himself comfy and promptly fell asleep. It was so cute. I don't think he realises that he is much too big for my lap. He takes up so much room on me.

Tonight I need to cook dinner and cook up tomorrow's dinner to stick in the slow cooker in the morning. Then tomorrow I'm baking Mum's birthday cake. I'm going with a chocolate raspberry cake. Haven't made it before so I'm hoping it'll be a winner.

Just quickly

It's way too early for a Sunday - considering I've been up for a while.

Anyway - I haven't been feeling really scrappy lately - so I threw together another quick card with my scraps.

And I have signed up for this!! I have taken it the past 2 years and loved it. Loved everything I have created from it. And am so ready to get into the Christmas spirit.

Someone's a hoarder

I felt the urge last night to organise my punches. Which resulted in me cleaning out four drawers and 2 baskets. I really should have sorted out what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to give away at that time, but I didn't.

You should have seen the things I found. Mini books from 2008 that were never completed. And quite a few punches that were very similar to 2 others.

I've reassigned my Amy Butler totes - one now holds all my recent stamps, and the other holds buttons brads and bling.

If I want to get serious about organising, I really need to purge....and go through everything.

I was happy I did those few things last night because when I went to make a card today, I could actually find what I needed very quickly!

I just might have a productive scrapping week yet ;o)

On my mind...

The owner of the place we have lived for the past 10 years is selling the property. House hunting is not fun. (And packing up 10 years of stuff is not much fun either)

Still waiting on my SC Kits and my Papertrey stamps to arrive. Fingers crossed they'll be here tomorrow.

And I really want to get my hands on this:

It's the L letterpress Kit from Quickutz. I want. I want. I want.
I wonder when it will be out here? Oh well, gives me time to save up for it.

Not much in the way of scrapping has been happening here - just have had so much going on. It's been crazy!!

Just quickly

Received my July and August Basic Grey page of the month kits. Yummy, yummy - can't wait to play with them.

And a card I made using lots of Ranger products. They are so fun to play with. Now I think I'm addicted to them. I want more!!

I've been watching all the sneaks and reveals for all the new goodies at CHA. And the thing that caught my eye the most was the letterpress thing from Quickcutz. Definately want that. Hope it will work in the BigShot.

Also love all the new thickers and accessories from AC. And yummy stuff from Prima.

I better start saving I think ;o)

Getting inky

Supplies: Maya Mists - turquoise, red, orange & charcoal. Nadiya stamps by Studio Calico. Probably the cheapest layout I've ever done. (And the most fun)

Supplies: Hero Arts kraft notecard, Hero Arts Butterfly stamp, Hero Arts Woodgrain stamp, American Crafts stamp, Basic Grey paper, Kaiser Gems.

Had fun getting inky today.

And I thought I did mention it - but I've had some questions regarding the Ranger Display stands I bought (a couple of posts ago). They were from Blue Bazaar. I'm pretty sure Lu ships overseas - but they may cost a bit. If you wanted one, you could alway try asking your local scrap store if they have any that they don't want.

Anyway off to enjoy my coffee & cheesecake.

Itching to play

I finished a basic card today that I started a while ago but had no idea where to go with it. It was the pink piece with the embossed SC stamp. Which then got a brown satin bow. And then stuck onto a brown base. And today....some thickers. For the most basic card (I think) that I've ever done, it sure took a long time.
I have been watching Jennifer McGuire's series of videos over at TwoPeas,which has ignited an obsession in me for Ranger products. I placed two orders of ink pads, alcohol ink, crackle paint & dabbers. You name it - I ordered it. Then in the very early hours of the morning I started thinking about where I am going to put all of this stuff. So I jumped on the net and ended up at Blue Bazaar and what did I find??
Ranger Display Stands - that's what!!
Total awesomeness!! So I ordered 2 different types - I'm even thinking that I might be able to fit some Maya Mists and my AC embossing powders in there too. That would be very good!!
Cannot wait to get organised and to start playing.

Finally....

I only managed one card...but it's better than nothing right?

All products used are American Crafts. I especially love the Thank You Dots stamp. And I finally played with my Zing embossing powder. I used Blush and Charcoal on this card - and they are really shiny and lovely.

My beautiful hubby gave me my mothers day presents early - and the big sneak gave me a massive, beautiful photo frame that I have been lusting after for ages - and a new frying pan (that I so desperately need) I was so suprised. He is such a beautiful man....and I am so very lucky to have him.

I am off to my Mum's for lunch tomorrow - so whatever your plans are, I just want to wish you all a very Happy Mothers Day.

BG & AC and a little MR

I made this card the other day using some leftover BG from 2 of my page kits. And I played with my Slice. (I have ordered the Just Chillin card as it looks really fun)

I cannot believe how quick shipping from twopeas is. Seriously, every parcel has been here in 6 days. Awesome!! I wish everything would come that quick!!

I just got a couple more AC stamps...so in love with them. Some more embossing powder (coz every girl needs silver glitter) And a couple of Maya Mists - Cannot wait to play with those.

EDITED: Just for Jennie ;o) The maya mist colours are red, pink, charcoal and silver metallic. Got some more on the way with my SC kits too.

And a layout of my sweetie using BG Bittersweet.

And a present for my friend - she just moved away. Using BG Marrakesh, Ambrosia & Offbeat.

Not feeling the mojo...

I scrapped these last night. Not really liking them. It's the card mostly. I stuck down the flower too quickly and I can't move it. Bugger!!

Haven't done alot this weekend. My car is out of action. Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow.

Tonight is "So you think you can dance" night. My favourites are Amy, Charlie, BJ, Ben & Tim.

It's so sad that Penny has to go because of her rib. She was fabulous!!

Better go and organise some dinner -

I got busy

These 4 were from my Basic Grey page of the month kit. Still have lots left over.

And I broke into my SC March kit over the weekend. I love the colours!!

I think "Apron lace" is my new favourite punch!!

My little cutie pies

I had to quickly whip up some cards yesterday. Not bad for under 10 minutes!!

The kitties got desexed last Monday. Little Violet gets her stitches out on Thursday. Poor thing has had to wear an Elizabethan collar that is almost bigger than her.

Dash developed an abcess where he had his vaccinations so he is on antibiotics as he has been really crook. Now that the medicine is in his system he is starting to bounce back.

I had a little bit of a splurge and ordered some of the new thickers from AMLT. Cannot wait to get them. Yummo!!

And spent the last of my scrapping budget on a doodlebug tote and some adhesive & stickers from SB.com

Very excited for it to arrive.

Back again, 365...and a giveaway

Well - I won't bore you with where I have been and what's going on. But a double ear infection (AGAIN!!) was involved. Right as the holidays ended. Perfect timing.

SO I'm all better now and back with it again.

Have not really scrapped much. Made a couple of cards and a few layouts.

This week I got a suprise delivery - I actually got my hands on a Project 365 kit. I absolutely love it. Have spent the past two days putting it all together. I am going to love looking back over it after a year.

Also went off on a search for punches...still trying to get my hands on a fiskars threading water punch. But I did find some Martha ones. Oh Yum!!

Wanted them all....but cut it down to just 3.
