As of about 4 minutes ago, my fabric order came.All from here. Well part of it. I hope the rest doesn't take too long. Or get lost in the post. Argggh - go away bad thoughts!!

The plain charcoal is what I'm using for the backing. And River Rock is one of the designs for the front. I decided on 5 patterns for the front. Not sure what the proper amount is to use.
Anyway - I am so excited to get playing. Only ten days to go - not that I'm counting or anything. lol!
Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with the rest of it.

The mess on my desk

On my desk today -

Coffee cup (empty. Where's my hubby when I need him?)
And this cookbook - making burritos from it tonight. They are absolutely delicious! If I had to pick a chef to cook my last meal - it would be Bill Granger.
And yes the light in my scraproom is this bad. I have a poxy little lamp to scrap by. And this is only 4:30 in the arvo.
 I'll be blind by the time we move out of here!!

Brrr....

It's so so cold at the moment.
But I'm happy to sit in my scraproom as I've got a heater under my desk. Very nice.
Went and saw The Hangover part 2 last night. Bradley Cooper is so delish! I thought the first one was funnier but I still loved it.
And this is the layout that I finished off over the weekend.
Not much planned for this week. Got my mothers birthday on Sunday. Really need to plan the menu. Think I'm going to make the mousse cake for dessert though. Just not sure.

It was a scrappy night

It seems like the only time that I get to scrap (or have the inclination to) is on Saturday nights. So here's my effort for tonight. I'm in the middle of another double - but it will have to wait until tomorrow until I can get my silhouette out. I put it out of reach - silly I know - but it was the only way I could fit in my sewing machine. I really need to reorganise again. And I seriously need to purge before we move. Hopefully in the next house I'll have a bigger scrap space.

Excited much?

This morning I went to purchase my very first sewing machine. Isn't she pretty. I've only had her an hour and already I'm in love.
I'm still waiting on my fabric order and I still need to grab some other things before class next month. Can't wait. I am so excited.

Now the fun begins ...

It's a scrappy kind of day

With a big stack of  freshly printed photos beside me, I thought I better get started on getting through them. I pulled out Lawn Party and had a play. I just love that doily paper. Scrumptious!

And today my husband and I celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. And after 16 years together - he is still a keeper.

It's been a while

I've been sick for the past couple of weeks, so there has been no scrapping to mention. But I did go to a sewing class on the weekend. I loved it. I made this bag. Then next month I'm making a quilt. I am so excited. The hard part is picking the fabrics.

Today I received my Studio Calico box. Awesome!

I'm so glad I got the extra pp. They are all so pretty.

I also grabbed Rope Swing. I really wanted that stamp.

And I got Lawn Party. Love the stamp. Love the BG alpha. Love it all.

And I also needed to stock up on adhesive. That should last me a month or two. That is of course if I start scrapping again.

Mothers day stuff

Along with the book I made last week, I 'm giving her a mirror and a stationery set.

But I couldn't get any transparencies in time so my poor butterfly looks a bit sad.

Sidetracked

 So much for catching up on things. I kind of got sidetracked by the birth of a friends first baby. So I found the perfect use of the pack of Basic Grey Olivia that I'd been hoarding. I made a mini book based on the MPS Mom mini book that Heidi designed. I used a shape from the silhouette store as a template. And here are the rest of the pages.

Now I really do need to catch up on MPS Mom and I am way way behind in KP's Sketchbook 3, so I need to catch up on that too!
Lucky I stocked up on ink yesterday! I am going to need it.

Getting caught up

 Over the weekend while my baby girl has been gone - I got caught up on Mouse, Paper, Scissers Mom class. I love how this album turned out. So pretty

 And those Bo Bunny papers are just gorgeous!

 And made a few cards - and now my ink has run out. Oops.

And we've got unexpected visitors coming today so the silhouette came to the rescue. I used a bunny place card as a bag topper.

Now I need to get cleaned up before my girl gets home. I can't wait!! Missed her like crazy!!
