Massive weekend & a happy mail day ;o)

Starting with the weekend. Huge day cleaning on Saturday - which continued until my last load of washing at about 5:30pm Sunday night.

Everything now has a place...which makes me feel good.

Didn't get alot of sleep last night and had to get up early as little Missy went to camp this morning. She must be freezing right about now. She comes back tomorrow at about 5:30pm. So quiet here without her.

And hooray...my August Calico kits finally came today. I tore them open...and my heart skipped a beat. Even more beautiful in real life. April & Scarlet do an amazing job!!

Also received my order from scrapgal. I so love American Crafts. LOVE THEM!!

Now I just wish I had the energy to play with them right now ;o)

It is so cold - think I'll just settle for a hot shower and tv in bed.

Texta lover

So I did this layout in pretty much the same design as the last.....but I like it much more.

All American Crafts products.

Have spent all day cleaning house. Not totally finished yet. Got the upstairs and the laundry area to do tomorrow.

We've got an inspection, first thing Monday morning.

Have cleaned out so much clutter. Such a relief!!

So there will definately be no more scrapping this weekend.

It's been a very long time..

since I did a double layout. So clever me decides to do one.

I don't know where I was going with this one.

Don't think I like it at all.

But that's ok - you can't love them all, right?

Well - I am off to cook dinner.

It's going to be Korma Chicken & rice & naan bread. Yummy!!

Just too cute..

I quickly made a card with my leftovers. It's for Caitlins teacher. It's her birthday tomorrow.

Also, I forgot to show you my new craft knife...not that I need a new one....but this was just too cute to say no.

(this is also the reason why I am not allowed in pet shops on my own!!)

I also found these pics I drew ages ago. They were starting to deteriorate - so I thought I'd scan them into the computer. I used to draw all the time. Then I had kids and I stopped.

Double digits

Did this one last night. Baby girl was sick - so she stayed home from school. Check her out - such a ham. Got her some new textas & a colouring book and that made her a very happy girl. (just like her mumma)

Finally cracked into the puffy thickers. How fun are they?? Love them.
I think they are my new favourite!!

Got some more thickers on the way. (yes, did a little more shopping) Found a new store, Scrap Gal. This is the first order with them so not sure when it will get here.

And for those who have asked - my favourite shops to order from are A Million Little Things and Emmas Paperie. Every order has been delivered on time. Great prices. Fantastic Service.

Although I won't be ordering from overseas in a while...the aussie dollar stinks at the moment!!
If only I had ordered it all, 2 weeks ago. Bugger!!

Another layout

I did it last night. I used an older kit from Studio Calico called "Hand picked". Trying to use up my older stuff. Gotta make way for the new.

I read a book yesterday called The Pact by Jodie Picoult. So sad. In every single one of her books that I have read - which has been 3 - I have cried. They really tug at my heart strings. They are really well written and I always fall in love with her characters. But just so sad.

Not much else to report. Still crook. And still trying to catch up on housework. (that's like fighting a never ending battle)

A layout..

for the album. Just a quickie. But then that is what all my pages are.

Anyway I was sorting out my daughters album last night and realised that I hadn't done a page for her party - so I printed out a pic & made one. I then printed out the rest of the photos from her day and slotted them in, next to it. I have Scrapworks albums - where you can get 12X12 refills that house 4X6 photos. I love them.

So I usually scrap my favourite pics and then pop the rest in the photo pages.

Going to try and get the albums and photos sorted this week.

Only problem is...I'd probably need 10 more albums ;o)

Not..

alot of scrapping going on here at the moment.

And some more poolside thickers. (Quite possibly my favourite font)

I'm pretty excited for the Slice to finally get to Australia. A little disappointed that it is taking so long.

Finally Friday

I love Friday. Not that work stops - but at least I don't have to do the school run. Very happy about that.

Scrapped these tonight.

Those scrapworks flea market letter stickers were a pain in the bum to get off the packet!!

Drove me nuts. Lucky they are cute!

Late night

I'm up working - so I thought I'd finish this card I started a while ago.

I embossed the base with a cuttlebug christmas folder (not sure of the exact name) then rubbed versamark over the top and embossed with Stampin' Up! Clear powder.

The tree is a stamp from 'Season of Joy' stamp set which you can find in the new Spring mini catalogue - stamped in Wild Wasabi.

And some Cucumber Sprinkles thickers.

I stuck the 'A' in the wrong spot - as I was on the phone....and couldn't lift it off when I realised, as I had stuck it down with diamond glaze. Oops. That'll teach me.

Off to tidy my mess now -

Feeling better

I am feeling so much better today. Not 100% - I'd say more like 30% - but I'm getting there.

Even managed to get down to the post office today, except it wasn't my Calico kit - it was a gorgeous present & card from my friend Deb.

Not so good

On the verge of tears.
Been sick for so long.
Have no energy to even go to the doctors.
Have been awake since 4:30am this morning.
Today feels like I am at the sickest point.
Nearly six weeks of the flu so far - and I am absolutely miserable.
Just want to go to bed. Sleep. And wake up well again.

And to top it off, I know my Studio Calico kits are at the post office...and I am not even well enough to go and pick them up.
Kids are at home today as it's a pupil free day from school.
They have been amazing. Really helping me out.
Love them to bits!

Still want to cry though (that's a sign that I am really crook!)

Roller party album

I finally decided last night to get started on Cakeys party album.

I used "Berry Picking" Kit from a month or 2 ago from Studio Calico. I was keeping it especially for this. How fun are the Scenic Route albums. Love them!!

Going to rest today. Still sick with the flu. Yuck!

Christmas

So I played today with my Christmas papers. I did a layout for each of my kids for christmas day this year. So all I need to do is print out pics on Christmas day and stick it in. Easy peasy.

And I made 2 cards with my scraps.

Now back to making some extra pages ;o)

My parcel arrived

I am in AC Heaven.

I love the tinsel thickers (I could only get black) and I love the puffy Chit Chat thickers (so fun). They are all so cute. There is no way I could pick a favourite!!

And I love the Christmas line of papers.....so so so cute.

Feeling really inspired to scrap now (except I don't have any pics). I suppose I could pre make my christmas pages and just leave space for the pics...okay, maybe not.

I got home this afternoon and opened my email. And to my suprise, there was an email from Seriously Scrapbooks to say that I won their blog competition!! How amazing is that! Totally shocked. Thanks so much Cathy!!

I am off to try and find room for my stuff. Wish me luck!!

Over it

Very much over being sick!!

Almost better. But now hubby has come down really bad with it!!

So what I have I been doing?

No scrapping at all.

But I have watched 3 seasons of Greys Anatomy. (Now I'm downloading season 4 on itunes)

And have done alot of scrap shopping.

Waiting on SC kits, more martha & fiskars punches, and a big fat order of 20 packets of new thickers & 70 sheets of new American Crafts papers and some doodlebug flocking. Cannot wait for it all to get here.

Now I just have to find somewhere to put it!!
