I'm sitting here tonight - thinking about this past year. If I could use one word to sum it up - it would be CHANGES.

We have moved from the home we lived in for 10 years. We changed a major part of our business. My first baby started high school. And we could possibly be in for another major change.......but I won't know about that until next week.

So looking back (scrapping wise) these are my favourite 5 scrappy things from this year. (There was not much to choose from - apparently I have not scrapped much this year, but my scrap shopping made up for it!!)

Rainy days

It has been raining for the past couple of days. It's so welcome after the hot days that we've had.
It's a bit late, but I made a few candles......and this was my favourite one using this kit by Jen Allyson. So cute.

We had a nice Christmas. That was, until hubby got sick and was puking until 4 am boxing day. I think it was the yucky flu that has been going around.

I didn't take many photos at Christmas as I normally do, as I was mostly in the kitchen.

Been running around to a heap of different shops trying to find the right cable for our tv. We (I mean the kids) got RockBand for Chrissy and I've hooked up the PS3 in the lounge to the better sound system. Can't wait to play it tonight. I'm picking up the drums pretty quickly. It's so addictive!!

I've place a couple of orders of scrappy stuff....so hopefully it will get me scrapping again. Can't wait for it all to get here.

Getting Crafty

Have been making a couple of things here and there.

I tried a couple of candles - except I ran out of ink.

And I made a printer tray for us to hang on the wall. (as well as one for my mum - but it isn't finished).

Have made a couple of layouts but they aren't finished yet either.

Only 9 sleeps to go.....

Almost forgot...

How silly am I? I almost completely forgot to post my lucky last card!!

This was from an idea a while back on the hero blog, where a lady had stamped a bauble on an acetate card and applied glitter to the back of the image. I didn't have a bauble stamp - so I thought I'd try different colours of glitter on Santa. I love how he turned out.

I started and completed my Christmas shopping today. Just got a few other things to get - but that can wait a little longer. It's a bit of a relief now that I've got the majority of it done. I am usually finished by July 31st. Not this year.

I'm really grateful that I wasn't out doing the shopping on Christmas Eve, although I really thought that was what it was coming to.

Only have a couple more days of kids at school, then a job on Sunday - then I can enjoy the holidays with the kids.

I just might get some scrapping time in there ;o)

Don't they know to be careful

The postal service drives me nuts. The prices go up and the attention and care goes down. I just received an order from twopeas and this is what it looked like. I almost didn't want to open it.
Luckily I only ordered a little bit of stuff, and the papers that I did get were right underneath the crushed part.




So what did I get??
Some more christmas stamps and embellies. And some Nook & Pantry stamps. Cute!!

And some American Crafts Stamp Markers. Just in Christmas colours. I'm going to order the rest of the colours today. Cannot wait to play with them.

Does anyone know if you have to store them horizontally??

Long time no post

Just been generally busy. Lots to do at home. And not to mention, my computer is in the hottest room in the house.
I have made a couple of cards though and I thought I'd share.

A card

The first thing I did with my kit was grab the stamp that I ordered and embossed it in clear powder over top of red, green, pearl & yellow maya mists. I then used broken china distress ink to cover it all, then I cut it out.

I hate the green tape - but it's a bit late now. Big oops!!

Hoping to get some time to play tomorrow. It's definately the right weather for it at the moment.

Monday-itis (aka Sucky Monday)

Not a really great start to the week.
So far this morning (and it hasn't even hit luch time yet), I have:
Woken up late
Cleaned up cat vomit - TWICE
Taken the kids to 2 different schools
Been to the post office
Got two flat tyres
Been to the bank
Cleaned the pool
Done 2 loads of washing (have 2 more to go)
Changed the sheets on 2 beds
And done the washing up.

Still waiting on my SC kits. Really hoping they come today.
I think they would make today a little less sucky!!

Ouch

On Saturday we did some yard work. Bought a paw paw tree (yuck!!), a passionfruit vine and some lavender plants. We tidied up the grounds and moved some things around. Put together a new pool filter thing. It really wasn't strenuous - but come Sunday morning, I couldn't move. I was in agony. It was horrible.

I'm feeling a bit better today. Still a bit sore. Back pain is definately not something I want again!!

Luckily it was a pupil free day at school, so I slept in a little and have just taken it easy today.

I finally cracked into Cotillion and got these done.

I love that butterfly stamp!!

The day after, the day after my iphone died

So a couple of days ago the kids rode to the shop to get fish & chips. They took my iphone.

When they got back, I discovered that they had put my phone in the bag with the fish......and the fish had leaked all over my phone. It was everywhere. Eeekkk!!!!

I stopped in to Apple to see if they could do repairs. They ended up replacing it with a brand spankin new one. (At a fee of course - but a much smaller fee than buying another one outright)

So happy to have a phone back!!

I was so impressed by Apple's service. 5 stars!!!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!!

I managed 15 I think.

All Christmas cards. The holly & leaves are hand coloured with Copic Spica glitter markers.

The stamp is Hero Arts and the rest is Making Memories.

They were fun to make and I really like how they turned out.

I'm feeling good that I made a start on them. 20 down and quite a few more to go ;o)

Cards Galore

So with just a couple of supplies, I whipped up quite a few basic cards. A nice fat little stash of birthday cards. And a couple of simple chrissy cards. I still have a ton of my cosmo earth love pad left. Such sweet papers!!
